Do as I say, not as I do
Capitol Hill Update - June 9, 2010 - 9:07pmThe audacity (and hypocrisy) of this president is limitless. Barack Obama, during a high school graduation speech, told the audience that they needed to take responsibility for their actions and not to blame others.
Obama told the Kalamazoo, Michigan Central High graduates: "Take responsibility not just for your successes, but for your failures as well. The truth is, no matter how hard you work, you won't necessarily ace every class or succeed in every job. There will be times when you screw up, when you hurt the people you love, when you stray from your most deeply held values.
"And when that happens, it's the easiest thing in the world to start looking around for someone to blame. Your professor was too hard; your boss was a jerk; the coach was playing favorites; your friend just didn't understand. We see it every day out in Washington, with folks calling each other names and making all sorts of accusations on TV."
Some nice words of advice to the high school graduates by the president. However, by his own hypocritical actions since he became president, Barack Obama is basically telling young people: "Do as I say, not as I do."
He has blamed former President George W. Bush countless times for all kinds of problems which Obama inherited or has now caused in his first 17 months of office. As Elizabeth Barrett Browning said, "Let me count the ways" as to how many times Obama has blamed the former president. read more »

(Speaker) John Boehner's brilliant victory
Capitol Hill Update - May 14, 2010 - 5:36pmThe Republicans in the United States House of Representatives -- led by next year's probable Speaker of the House, Congressman John Boehner, the Republican minority leader -- scored a brilliant victory yesterday over Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Democrats. In fact it was a rout.
The Democrat leadership in the House of Representatives this week attempted to spend yet more of Americans' hard-earned tax dollars on yet another big-spending bill called the "America COMPETES Act." Republicans opposed the bill because it would create yet more programs and provide even more money for government programs which already do not work.
The Republicans were able to use a parliamentary tactic called a "motion to recommit" (the bill) to amend the Democrat bill. Their provision would have forced the federal government to fire, or at least severely discipline, employees who viewed pornography on a government computer and equally as important would shut off federal funding for universities which received funds under this legislation and which did not allow military recruiters on their campuses.
The Republican motion to recommit (MTR) was so popular that -- in this 111th Congress controlled overwhelmingly by Democrats -- it passed by a huge margin of 292-126. But this does not tell the whole story about a very large number of unprincipled wishy-washy House Democrats. read more »

Dems Voting Down McCain Amendment Shrinking Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is a Disgrace
Capitol Hill Update - May 12, 2010 - 10:01amOn Tuesday, the two Democrat politicians (Senator Chris Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank) and the two gigantic federally-subsidized housing agencies (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) most responsible for the stock market crash, the bursting of the housing bubble, and the Great Recession won yet another victory (against the American people).
Senator John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate who lost to Barack Obama in 2008, introduced an amendment to the financial regulatory-reform bill being debated on the Senate floor this week, which would have reformed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac which have already received $145 billion in bail-out money from American taxpayers. These were the two government-owned agencies which subsidized mortgage borrowers who could not afford to buy homes and which are now subsidizing these home-owners to avoid foreclosure.
Today's "The Wall Street Journal" editorializes that: "Thanks to his own sweetheart mortgage from Countrywide Financial -- a leading Fannie business partner -- Mr. Dodd isn't running for reelection." Senator Dodd's partner-in-crime, and his counterpart in the House of Representatives, Congressman Barney Frank, Chairman of the Financial Services Committee, whines and blusters that the housing crises was not due to his lack of oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. read more »

Net Neutrality is not some Marxist plot
Capitol Hill Update - April 7, 2010 - 1:42pmWhat do the Christian Coalition of America, the Gunowners of America, the National Religious Broadcasters, and the Parents Television Council, whose founder, Brent Bozell, frequently appears on Fox News, all have in common? Each of these very conservative organizations support "net neutrality" on the Internet.
Yet, Fox News' Glenn Beck, whose views are often correct, has blasted the idea of net neutrality on the Internet as some kind of Marxist plot or words to that effect. Beck has attacked those Americans who want to make sure that the communications corporations which provide Internet service such as Comcast, AT & T and Verizon -- and which have a virtual monopoly on providing Internet service -- cannot discriminate against grassroots groups such as the Christian Coalition and the Parents Television Council. Grassroots groups want to make sure that Comcast, etc. do not put them on the slow track and censor what they communicate.
These conservative groups, which support net neutrality legislation, do not want these handful of communications giants to relegate their groups and small businesses to second-class and much slower Internet service. read more »
Netanyahu, Hold Firm Against Obama's Bullies
Capitol Hill Update - April 1, 2010 - 4:20pmGrowing up with an Islamic background and attending a church for 20 years which spewed anti-Israel hatreds, is it any wonder that Barack Obama's foreign policy is firmly anti-Israel? Indeed, Israel's ambassador to the United States has been quoted saying it is the biggest "crisis" between America and Israel in the past 30 years.
The Obama administration's radical anti-Israel policy is even worse than the previous Israel-hating president, Jimmy Carter. Like Carter, Obama promised to bring peace to the Middle East. He has done everything but that, with his divisive policies.
Thankfully, the conservative prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, backed by an overwhelming number of Israelis, and supported by a large majority of Americans, is not about to cower before the bullies in Obama's White House and State Department. The top political advisor in the White House, David Axelrod, blasted Netanyahu's announcement of 1,600 new housing units in East Jerusalem as "an insult" just before the vice president's visit to Israel.
The Obama administration's policy toward Israel is a disgrace considering that Israel is America's only true ally in the Middle East, and happens to also be the only democracy in that troubled area. The Palestinians clearly do not want peace, especially considering the fact that they have refused to sit down with Israel to discuss statehood for the Palestinians and cessation of violence from the Palestinians and their allies against Israel. read more »

Bart Stupak, Benedict Arnold, Julius & Ethel Rosenberg, and Jane Fonda
Capitol Hill Update - March 25, 2010 - 9:16amMost all Americans, even students in America's politically-correct schools, know the identity of America's most infamous traitor. That, of course, is Benedict Arnold, who escaped to Great Britain, avoiding both arrest and the noose during the Revolutionary War.
Most senior citizens, and other knowledgeable Americans, are familiar with Julius and Ethel Rosenberg; the American communist traitors executed for treason at the height of the Cold War.
And many Americans, and virtually all of us Vietnam War veterans, know the treachery of actress Jane Fonda who was in our communist enemy's capital, Hanoi, Vietnam, actually pretending to shoot down American pilots with a North Vietnamese artillery piece - a photo which gave huge aid and comfort to our communist enemies all over the world.
Which brings us to America's newest traitor in this infamous list of traitors: Democrat Congressman Bart Stupak from the First Congressional District of Michigan. Last Sunday, Bart Stupak single-handedly provided the enemies of American culture his vote and less than a handful of votes to install socialism (ObamaCare) for the first time in America. read more »

Dates of Infamy: Dec. 7th; Jan 22, 1973; 9-11; and Sunday, March 21, 2010
Capitol Hill Update - March 23, 2010 - 1:44pmIn addition to the three previous days of infamy in American history, Sunday, March 21, 2010 will go down in history as a very infamous day full of betrayal and deceit. Japan conducted a sneak attack on America at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The United States Supreme Court in its Roe v. Wade decision on January 22, 1973 legalized abortion resulting in the brutal deaths of 50 million unborn children up to the present time. Islamic terrorists attacked America in September 11, 2001 resulting in the deaths of over 3,000 innocent souls.
This past Sunday, a day which will live in infamy -- the Lord's Day of all days -- the Democrat Party attacked the foundations of the United States of America and established the beginning of European-style socialism (and worse) in America by its vote in the United States House of Representatives (219-212 without a single Republican voting for ObamaCare.) ObamaCare also received no Republican votes in the Senate. read more »

Obama's relentless crusade against Israel
Capitol Hill Update - March 19, 2010 - 11:28amThe President of the Christian Coalition of America, Roberta Combs, in her January 13, 2009 column entitled: "Bipartisan leaders support Israel as it should be," published a week before Barack Obama became president, wrote that she was pleased to see the cooperation in their support for Israel between the Democratic House Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, and the Republican Minority Whip, Eric Cantor.
It seems that the president is departing from this bipartisan support of Israel and is relentlessly attacking Israel. Indeed, Israel's ambassador to the United States, Dr. Michael Oren, recently stated: "We are facing the worst crisis in U.S.-Israeli relations since 1975."
Right from the beginning, the Obama administration has been attacking Israel over Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem and in the West Bank. Most recently, both Obama and his Secretary of State have condemned Israel over its rightful policy of building new apartments in Israeli territory in north Jerusalem. During a recent visit to Israel, Vice President Joe Biden blasted Israel's building of 1,600 new housing units in territory which is rightfully Israel's land. read more »
Judeo-Christian victory in California
Capitol Hill Update - March 11, 2010 - 10:35pmAtheist Michael Newdow lost a lawsuit on Thursday before a 3-judge panel of the most left-wing circuit court of appeals in America, the 9th Circuit in San Francisco, California. In a stunning rebuke to one of America's most infamous atheists who is attempting to strip God from the public square in America, the judicial panel in a 2-1 decision ruled that the words "under God" could be used in the Pledge of Allegiance and in a 3-0 decision the panel ruled that "In God We Trust" could be used on U.S. currency and coins.
The appeals court panel rejected Michael Newdow's claim that the phrases "under God" and "In God We Trust" violate some silly notion of "separation of church and state" which is found nowhere in the United States Constitution. The only place the left-wing in this country -- which has used the discredited claim of "separation of church and state" -- can find this phrase is in a letter which Thomas Jefferson wrote to a Connecticut Baptist pastor.
The Associated Press reported tonight that "The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel rejected two legal challenges by Sacramento atheist Michael Newdow, who claimed the references to God disrespect his religious beliefs. 'The Pledge is constitutional,' Judge Carlos Bea wrote for the majority in the 2-1 ruling. 'The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded.' read more »
ObamaCare: "The most pro-abortion legislation since Roe v. Wade"
Capitol Hill Update - March 3, 2010 - 10:37amAfter being thoroughly reprimanded by the American people in town meetings last summer, in Tea Party events, and most recently in elections in Virginia and the liberal states of Massachusetts and New Jersey, and after the president's charade "bipartisan" summit last week, the Democrat leaders, led by Barack Obama, are arrogantly determined to push through ObamaCare by Easter.
It is ironic that the Democrats have picked the Christian holiday of Easter as their deadline to ram through the most radical pro-abortion bill in American history, which will result in huge increases of abortions all across America, many paid for by American taxpayers.
Indeed, Douglas Johnson, the legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee in "LifeNews.com" said: "Every version of the health care bill has contained multiple pro-abortion mandates and federal subsidies for abortion -- except for the version that was fixed by adoption of the Stupak-Pitts Amendment, over Speaker Pelosi's objections.
"But President Obama and Senator Reid succeeded in keeping that fix out of the Senate bill -- indeed, the Senate produced a final bill that is the most pro-abortion single piece of legislation to reach the floor of either house of Congress since Roe v. Wade." read more »
